Pontedeume to Miño - approximately 10 km
We started our day with breakfast at a bar near our hotel. I had my usual coffee con leche y croissant. The walk was only 10 km so we thought it would be a walk in the park. We checked the elevation and saw we would be going up, up and more up…definitely no walk in the park. The only reason I tolerate going up is that I know it will be followed by going down. I really like going down. Going up is hard work with a 20 pound pack on my back plus the 25 extra pounds I have naturally. Do the math, that is a lot of pounds to move up a steep hill.
We stopped for a short break and a Coke Zero at a quaint little place along the way. The woman who ran it could not speak English but somehow we had a very nice chat with her.
Nearing Miño we walk by a beautiful golf course. I wanted to stop and do 9 but the rest of the Chicas said no, we must keep going.
Our place in Miño was a little hard to find but after many steps up and down the same street we located it. It is a nice 3 bedroom apartment, very comfortable.
We got some rain while we were exploring the town and the beautiful beach. After exploring we settled in for a nice drink and meal before heading to bed.
Thank you for sharing your journey and lovely pictures. Chicas are an inspiration for us here in Alaska. For now we will be with you in spirit until maybe you plan your next trip? ;) Hugs to all but an extra squeeze for Roberta, my amazing Auntie !!
